2 Steps To Stay On Track

Are your goals set? Are you all geared up to get started on them? Have you established some ways to support your goals? What will ensure that you actually stay on your desired path?

It is easy to get off path. It is easy to get all wrapped in stuff in everyday life. You know what I mean? I know, I have been off track with my goals. When you do set goals and establish ways to get where you want to go, how do you stay on track?

When you have clear goals that you want to achieve, it is easier to set the steps to achieve them. It sounds easy. The fact is you will only take control of your goal when you “stop doing things” that you are doing. Look at your life right now? What does it look like? Did you get the steps done today to reach your goal? What you did today will show up later? How then do you stay on track? Here are 2 steps to stay on track towards your goals:

1. Hire a coach or mentor. This is one effective way to stay on track towards what you desire in life. The coach can guide you in the right path. They can tweak your game. There are all types of coaches for any goal from weight loses to relationships to business. Find the right one for you. If you can’t afford one report to someone that you trust. Have a significant other person serve as a coach. This will help ensure that you do what you are supposed to be doing to reach that goal. Most successful people have coaches. They have a coach that tweaks their game. I heard at one time that Oprah Winfrey had 7 coaches. Look how successful she is in her life. I don’t know all I know is that every millionaire I have meet had a coach.

2. Join people that have a goal similar towards yours. There are many organizations out in your own community. If you can’t find one in your area. Check online, there are all types. By surrounding your self with like-minded people can accelerate your steps towards your desire goal. This helps surround yourself with reinforcement on your goal. It holds you accountable.

Most people get off track on their goals at some point. When you find yourself off the track, ask yourself what I am doing right now? Is it towards or away from my desired goal? Once you start to take action on your top priorities, you will gain more confidence. You will have more time power. You will feel like you are walking on water.

2 Easy Ways To Manage Your Anger

Anger is an emotional feeling and an expression which we all have from time to time. Each and every one of us reacts to anger differently. Some people may feel a great urgency to smash something, some people shouts at the top of their lungs to vent their anger while others will remain silent throughout the entire time.

Anger can lead to destructive consequences. Sadly, most people do not have any form of training or instruction on how to deal with these emotions. As a result, you often see tragedies happening in the news or on TV about how someone who is angry decided to do terrible things to others.

There are many ways to mange your anger effectively and here are a few simple methods you can try

1. Create a destructive outlet.

I know many anger management experts would tell you to control your emotions when angry however it is easier said than done and not always possible.

My way of managing way is to identify a destructive outlet where I can vent my anger without damaging anything or anyone. For me it is a small corner of my bedroom. For you, it could be anywhere in your toilet, the park. Basically somewhere where you would feel peace and quiet and have a moment to yourself.

2. Acknowledge Your Anger

One thing I’ve learned from anger management experts is to know when you are angry.

In order to control your anger, the first step is to identify it. Only when you identify the emotion, can you take steps to control it. It makes sense, does it?

To identify your anger, you have to know what things or events make you angry easily. This depends on the individual and you have to explore it on your own.

Let me give you an example. My wife used to be easily angry whenever the house is dirty because she likes cleanliness. The slightest dirt on the floor will make her irate and she will start shouting and screaming

Since identifying the cause of her anger, she is now better able to manage it and no longer starts to scream and shout.

One last thing I like to add is anger isn’t necessarily bad. It really depends on how people handle it. Learning how to identify and overcome your anger will give you an advantage over the majority of people and can assist you in your family and work life as well.

10 Ways To Say No To Fear This New Year

It’s a New Year and a new set of resolutions. But how many will you actually see through to the end? And how many will fall by the wayside because of one simple four lettered word . . . FEAR.

Fear gets to the best of us, whether it is fear of failure, fear of success or even fear of fear. All of us have experienced fear at some point in our lives and it can be a real stumbling block that holds us back from being truly successful.

But don’t panic, there is a way to conquer these fears, and what better time to start than this New Year.

Here are my top 10 fast acting tips for you to conquer your fear this year:

1. SEPARATE REALITY FROM PERCEPTION

See the reality of the situation for what it is. Be rational and get clear on the facts. Soul search and explore your perception of the situation at hand.

2. IDENTIFY THE TRIGGER

Isolate the specific aspects of the situation that trigger your fearful thoughts. What’s the worst that could happen? Change the way you look at these triggers and you will immediately change the way you react.

3. KNOW WHERE FEAR LIVES IN YOUR BODY

Be in tune with where your fear lives in your body. Use it as an indicator to tell you when something needs to be addressed. What you are aware of you can act on.

4. BECOME AN OBSERVER

When you observe something, you do it from a detached place. So if you become an observer of your fear, then you’re not in it and reacting instinctively.

5. LISTEN TO YOUR INNER TALK

Monitor your inner conversations. When you hear negative self-talk, stop and change the script to positive talk. Keep repeating it.

6. CREATE A NEW ASSOCIATION

When you feel fear, conjure up a picture of something or someone you love. Keep repeating this and soon your brain will associate your fear trigger with something much more pleasurable.

7. CONSIDER THE WORST

Imagine the worst that can happen and come up with strategies that avoid or lessen the likelihood of it happening. What can you put in place to ensure that the worst-case scenario never happens?

8. LOOK AT THE GLASS HALF FULL
Perception is a very powerful thing. And how you feel about your situation dictates how you respond. So think positively and you’ll give yourself a much better chance of success.

9. LEARN HOW TO CREATE SPACE

Because fear happens in the emotional part of the brain, it’s natural to act instinctively. So when fear rises, break the fear cycle by stopping, creating space and breathing. This will give you time to calm down and allow your rational brain time to catch up.

10: MAKE IT SAFE

When you feel safe, there is no need for fear. One of the best ways to overcome fear is to create the safest environment possible. And that’s why it’s important to practice, practice and practice again.
