Do It Till You Are Satisfied

“Whatever it is, DO IT, Do it ’til you’re satisfied” is a very upbeat song that reminds us to do things that make us happy and keep us moving. Even the shoe company, Nike, uses the quote for their shoes and athletic wear of “Just Do It”. We have so much trouble just getting started sometimes. It is hard, isn’t it? It is hard to get started in the morning, hard to start a diet, hard to leave a dead end job. It is even hard to just get up off the sofa, quit being a couch potato and actually turn the television on or off, much less get up to change the channel.

It is hard to learn to eat right, eat healthy, and eat normal portions. It is also hard to exercise, much less make time to exercise and be faithful to your program. Because it is so hard to do these things, it becomes very important to look for things that can give us incentives. That is why the song, “Whatever it is, do it, and do it ’til you’re satisfied”, and shoe motto, just do it, means so much to us, because it reminds us to start.

Once we start an activity, no matter what it is, it gets much easier. It is starting the activity that makes us hesitate and put off any action. We anticipate trouble or hardship. Sometimes, we just procrastinate even getting started.

The task at hand is not as hard as we imagine it to be. Adults seem to dread starting something new, such as an exercise program that takes them outdoors to play, whereas children live to be outdoors and play. Have you ever resisted going out to shoot hoops with your son or go shopping with your daughter only to realize in the middle of doing it, how much fun you are having?

In the first part we discussed about how most of us are afraid of beginning something new. We delay any new activity and find reasons to justify the delay. We are afraid, as we understood in the first part. Why are we afraid of anything new? That is because we have a comfort zone and we do not want to leave it. We feel uncomfortable leaving our comfort zone. In this part we will discuss more about how to begin new activities.

It seems that everyday life and responsibilities leaves us with little time to play and we have forgotten how to play. Once we get the ball rolling (or the bike moving), the moving isn’t so hard. After you have the pleasant feeling of achievement, it is much easier to do it the next time. How many people vow to start eating better and make plans to change to healthy eating? How many have actually even looked to see what the perfect portion size is for a man or a woman? It really isn’t hard to do but you must first get started.

It is the same with giving up any bad habits. If you want to quit smoking, then you must first start by putting the pack away. If you want to start doing yoga, then you must start. The starting is always the hard part because we dread making major changes in our lives.

After a slow start, remember that once you get started it is not hard. Just begin. The task at hand is not as hard as you think. You will be pleasantly surprised how much you can accomplish once you get started. There is no one-way to start doing anything new that doesn’t involve having you to “just do it”. Then you want to “do it ’til you’re satisfied.”

There is truly a great array of wonderful and interesting animals on our planet. Many animals have abilities we as humans do not have. From the tiny humming bird to the largest mammals, there is a lot to learn for us. All of these remarkable species of animals are sharing the same planet with us. All of us have heard many stories of dogs for example who found their way back home over hundreds of miles. The same is said of cats. How are these loving pets able to find back home.

For many years we have called this ability in these animals instinct. What is instinct? Could instinct be really the law of attraction?

When observing migrating birds we are surely amazed at the ability of even the smallest migrating birds to find their homes back thousands and thousands of miles with such an accuracy.

Many have wondered about such admiring abilities. We know that everything in this universe moves and lives by the law of attraction.

It may just be more than instinct in animals that enables them to do great things. It no doubt all has to do with the universal laws. The law of attraction works well for human being, could it be at the root why animals do such amazing things?

Have you ever wondered about why bats can live their whole life without seeing so well?

How do the salmons find their way to the same breeding grounds for thousands of years? Is it simply “instinct?” Is there not more to it?

You no doubt want to learn more about the law of attraction and how it works. Did you know that even many of the ancient cultures knew about the power of the law of attraction?

When you meditate and learn about the mind puzzling abilities of even the smallest creatures on this planet it makes you wonder. How well do you think all these creatures may use the law of attraction?

What do you think: Is it instinct or could it be the great power of the law of attraction?

Double Or Triple Your Time!

Why do some say that time is much more important than wealth? Nearly all biographies and self-help books, by top leaders and speakers from the past decades, all focus on time as being the most important resource available. When we manage our use of time, through self-mastery, success is a natural product of that effort. Success becomes the harvest we reap.

Proven Technique Number 1 – Delegate and assign simple routine tasks to other people.

If you have a home business, consider hiring a temp to deal with book entry. Most people don’t need a full time employee and the time you save allows you to focus on building your vision. This is very elementary but of great significance. If you have the money, hire people to do the housework, the repairing, and even some of your other office jobs. Let others do the research. But of course, you have to reward them accordingly so they will be motivated to render their services again. There are also web sites dedicated to connecting you with the talent you need to complete projects. Use their skills to fulfill your dreams.

Proven Technique Number 2 – Plan

Begin with the end in mind is a popular phrase and it represents a very important principal. The less time you think you have, the more critical it is for you to plan. By planning carefully, you’ll be able to manage your time better and avoid costly mistakes that eat up even more of your time.

Can you imagine an archery competition where there are no targets? How would the archer know if he or she hit anything, or even came close? Too often we treat our lives and our businesses as though the target is unimportant.

You might say that you’re so busy you don’t even have time to plan. That’s usually a sign that you need to take time to plan more than anyone else. The payoff is the ability to see your entire project holistically and see efficiencies in tasks and perhaps areas where you can hire out.

Your plan is like a road map. Spend enough time to ponder through the different approaches and activities, and you will soon realize that you can save a lot more time by doing this. Make sure you are going towards the right goal and check your plan from time to time to make sure you haven’t driven off then road.

Choose a quiet place to make your plan and let your mind focus on this important process.

Every individual has a unique perception of a well-made plan. There are no specific rules in making it. Here are some tips which you can apply to your own system.

1. Write down your objective. This is a precise definition of your target.

2. Brainstorm the strategies & tactics you will employ to accomplish your objective.

3. Assess the advantages & disadvantages of carrying out those strategies & choose those tactics where the pros outweigh the cons.

4. Set a timeline or deadline in completing your mission.

5. Make modifications & back-up plans in case Plan A doesn’t work.

6. Learn from the evolution of your plan. It’s from this experience, and comparison to your original plan, that you will gain skills and talent.

The most important time management tip of all is to take action immediately. If your time is that important, then don’t waste it by sitting around or over planning. Determine your course and move. You can always make course corrections as you move along.
