Fondue (?), n. [Also erroneously Fondu.] [F. See Fondu; cf. Fondant.] 1. (Cookery) A dish made of cheese, eggs, butter, etc., often seasoned with kirsch and white wine, melted together, and usually used as a dip for pieces of bread.
