{ Pyrrhotine (?), Pyrrhotite (?), } n. [Gr. &unr_; flame-colored, fr. &unr_; fire.] (Min.) A bronze-colored mineral, of metallic luster. It is a sulphide of iron, and is remarkable for being attracted by the magnet. Called also magnetic pyrites.
