Gonotheca (?), n.; pl. Gonothec&unr_; (#). [NL., fr. Gr. &unr_; offspring + &unr_; box.] (Zoöl.) A capsule developed on certain hydroids (Thecaphora), inclosing the blastostyle upon which the medusoid buds or gonophores are developed; -- called also gonangium, and teleophore.
