True. The moment you realise the meaning of that dream and why it took that shape in his mind and memories, it tears your heart apart. Beautiful, beautiful film. Alas, its message seems to have been missed nowadays...

Powerful. A film needed now more than ever. Please there be peace. Jews, Palestinians, they are both part of the human race.

I shall try, but my English isn't perfect. My encounter with Boaz took place in the winter of 2006. That same night, for the first time in 20 years, I had a horrible flashback from the war in Libanon. Not just Libanon, but the Beirut matter. Not just the Beirut matter, but the night of the massacre in the refugee camps of Sabra & Shatila.

I totally agree - this minute or so of footage completely took my breath away, I don't think I've ever seen so much emotion and meaning conveyed in such a short piece of film, let alone animation. My favourite movie of the year.

One of the best scenes in film history. It took my very breath away when I first saw it at the Utrecht film festival.

The 5 seconds right after that scene in the very ending blew me away. |
